Berlin - Democracy invites (August 2022)
August also has an exciting event in store in political Berlin: anyone who has always wanted to take a look behind the doors of federal politics will have the opportunity to do so at the Federal Government's Open Day on August 21 and 22. The motto is "Democrat invites".
What is the Federal Government Open Day?

For two days you can visit all federal ministries, the Federal Chancellery and the Press and Information Office. Have you always wondered what the inside of the Federal Chancellery looks like? Then August 21/22 is the perfect time to do so! Each ministry is preparing exhibitions, guided tours or lectures where you can learn more about their work.
You can find more information here on the website of the federal government or at the individual ministries: https://www.bundesregierung.de/breg-de/themen/tag-der-offenen-tuer/bundesregierung-oeffnet-ihre-tueren-452612.
How can I learn even more about Berlin politics?
A week later, on August 27, the Citizens' Festival with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will take place at Bellevue Palace. From 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., there will also be tours of the palace, as well as performances, roundtable discussions and more. The Citizens' Festival places a special focus on volunteer work in Germany. On this occasion, many invited guests will be present, whom the Federal President would like to thank for their work.
